Wales Virtual Institute of Sport Health & Exercise Sciences

University of Wales Swansea (UWS):

UWS was founded in 1920 as one of the 4 original colleges of the University of Wales. It occupies parkland overlooking Swansea Bay, near the Gower peninsula and has approximately 10,300 students.

Several members of 'The Virtual Institute' work in the Department of Sports Science which is equipped with excellent Motor Learning, Physiology, Notational Analysis and Biomechanics Laboratories. There are 3 research groups within the Department of Sports Science namely, Applied Physiology in Sport; Cognition and Behaviour in Sport Performance and the Biomechanics and Motor Control group.
